Under the patronage of the President of Al-Naji University, Prof. Dr. Munir Hameed Al-Saadi, and in cooperation with the Scientific Research Authority / Industrial Research and Applications Center at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Ms. Esraa Abdul Sattar Ismail presented a scientific seminar entitled “Recycling Plastic Waste Using Artificial Intelligence”.
The seminar addressed the types of plastic waste and how to recycle it and use it as raw materials, with the aim of reducing the depletion of natural resources and achieving sustainable development, in addition to its importance from an environmental point of view.
The seminar also reviewed the damages resulting from not properly sorting waste, and explained the mechanisms of proper sorting through robotic sorting systems based on artificial intelligence algorithms, which contributes to improving the efficiency of sorting operations, and increasing recycling rates faster, more efficient and healthier.
The attendees showed great interaction with the seminar’s discussions and themes.
