As part of Al-Naji University’s scientific plan aimed at enhancing knowledge, scientific interest and awareness, experienced professor Dr. Abdulkarim Hamid, who teaches at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, presented a scientific seminar entitled:
“Glance at Cancer Chemotherapy”
The seminar addressed the methods of treating cancer patients, which include surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy drugs, focusing on the nature of chemotherapy and its mechanism of action in targeting and destroying cancer cells inside the body.
The seminar also explained how chemotherapy doses are determined according to accurate treatment plans set by the specialized doctor, in addition to reviewing the common side effects associated with this type of treatment, and ways to deal with them.
The seminar concluded with an interactive discussion session, which included questions and scientific interventions from the audience, which added a valuable educational and awareness-raising dimension to the meeting.
