The President of Al-Naji University, Professor Dr. Moneer Al-Saadi, is participating in a specialized workshop organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in collaboration with the Higher Institute for Leadership Development, with the participation of a number of presidents of public and private universities.
The workshop is part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s efforts to develop leadership capabilities in higher education institutions, and is part of its efforts to develop a specialized professional diploma in university leadership that contributes to the training of academic and administrative leaders and enhances their competence in the areas of strategic planning, institutional change management, and the establishment of a culture of quality and innovation, in line with the requirements for the development of the higher education sector.
A significant address was delivered at the workshop by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education for Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Haider Abd dahad, The workshop also featured dialogue and consultation sessions that addressed the identification of required leadership competencies and the anticipation of future challenges facing Iraqi universities, as well as a discussion of the content of the proposed diploma program, its implementation mechanisms, and its expected educational outcomes.
The workshop aimed to create an environment for dialogue and consultation that would enable participants to identify current leadership challenges and anticipate the leadership competencies required for the next phase of higher education in Iraq, as well as to contribute to the development of a diploma program that meets the sector’s actual needs.
Participants emphasized the importance of establishing an integrated system for training university leaders to support the efforts of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in improving institutional performance, enhancing the quality of education, and achieving the goals of sustainable academic development.
